Jogendranath Mandal (29 January 1904 – 5 October 1968), He was one of the 96 founding fathers of the modern state of Pakistan, and a legislator serving as the country's first minister of law and labour under Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He was second minister of Commonwealth and Kashmir affairs. He decided to maintain his base in East Pakistan, hoping that the Dalits would be benefited from it and joined the first cabinet in Pakistan as the Minister of Law and Labour.

General Sir Douglas David Gracey (3 September 1894- 5 June 1964) Douglas Gracey was a British Indian Army officer who fought in both the First and Second World Wars. He also fought in French Indochina and was the second Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army. Gracey held this latter office from 11 February 1948 until his retirement on 16 January 1951. When British India was partitioned in late 1947 Gracey became Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army before succeeding Frank Messervy as Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army in 1948.
General Sir Douglas David Gracey (3 September 1894- 5 June 1964) Douglas Gracey was a British Indian Army officer who fought in both the First and Second World Wars. He also fought in French Indochina and was the second Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army. Gracey held this latter office from 11 February 1948 until his retirement on 16 January 1951. Dewan Bahadur Singha (1893–1948) Dewan Bahadur Singha was a Pakistani politician who served as the Speaker of the British Indian Punjab assembly. He was a member of the Punjab Assembly between 1947 and 1948. He served as a registrar at Punjab University. Due to his efforts, the matric examination system and intermediate-level degrees were introduced to the education system in Pakistan. As Singha gained more political influence, he was determined to see a land where the rights of all religious minorities were honored and where people were treated equally. It was because of this desire that Singha became a vocal supporter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. As 1947 drew closer, Singha worked tirelessly to increase support for Jinnah and his cause amongst the Christian population. In November of 1946 at another gathering in Punjab, Singha declared that “Jinnah is our leader”, and Jinnah responded by saying: “We will never forget the favors and sacrifices of Christians. With partition imminent, Singha was appointed as Speaker of the Punjab Assembly and forcefully demanded that Punjab be included with Pakistan.

Alvin Robert Cornelius, (8 May 1903 – 21 December 1991) Alvin Robert Cornelius was a Pakistani jurist, legal philosopher, and judge, serving as the 4th Chief Justice of Pakistan from 1960 until 1968. In addition, he served as Law Minister in the cabinet of Yahya Khan, 1969 – 16 December 1971. Cornelius was one of the notable Christian figures in the Pakistan Movement, closely collaborating with Mohammad Ali Jinnah. Cornelius was an active activist for the Pakistan Movement and one of the outspoken speakers of the movement, working to rally support for the Pakistan Movement. Cornelius assisted Jinnah in drafting the Pakistan Resolution, adding the legal clauses and articles justifying the rights of the Muslim majority, non-Muslim communities, and the ill-treatment of under-class both Non-Muslims and Muslims by the Congress Party in 1941. His activism grew strong and deeper after accepting a legal position in the Punjab government, where he would go on to establish the court system of the newly created country. Cornelius was one of the earliest citizens of the newly created country, Pakistan, opting for the country's citizenship as well as taking a federal law government assignment in the government of Liaquat Ali Khan.

General Sir Frank Walter Messervy(9 December 1893 – 2 February 1974) Frank Messervy was a British Indian Army officer in the First and Second World Wars. Following its independence in 1947, he was appointed as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army (15 August 1947 – 10 February 1948). Previously, he had served as General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command, India in 1946 and 1947.

Rustam Sohrabji Sidhwa (1 September 1927 – 31 March 1997) Rustom Sohrabji was a former judge on the Supreme Court of Pakistan as well as one of the original eleven judges of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. He passed the Bar in 1951 and was elevated to a judge of the Lahore High Court in 1978. Between 14 December 1989 and 31 August 1992, he served on the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Rustam Sohrabji Sidhwa (1 September 1927 – 31 March 1997) Rustom Sohrabji was a former judge on the Supreme Court of Pakistan as well as one of the original eleven judges of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. He passed the Bar in 1951 and was elevated to a judge of the Lahore High Court in 1978. Between 14 December 1989 and 31 August 1992, he served on the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

He was born in Mangtanwala, a small village in Punjab province in British India now in Punjab Pakistan. He was especially well known for designing many of the fine buildings in colonial Lahore, which city he settled in and called home. These included the Lahore General Post Office, the Lahore Museum, Aitchison College, Mayo School of Arts (now the National College of Arts), Ganga Ram Hospital, Lady Mclagan Girls High School, the chemistry department of the Government College University, the Albert Victor wing of Mayo Hospital, Sir Ganga Ram High School (now Lahore College for Women), the Hailey College of Commerce (now Hailey College of Banking & Finance), Ravi Road House for the Disabled, the Ganga Ram Trust Building on the Mall and others. Jamshed Nusserwanjee Mehta (7 January 1886 – 1 August 1952) Jamshed Nusserwanjee Mehta was a Pakistani politician. He was the first elected Mayor of Karachi from 1933 to 1934 and is still remembered as the "Maker of Modern Karachi" (Baba-e-Karachi). He was also a notable figure in the Pakistan Boy Scouts Association. In 1918, Mehta was elected a councilor of the Karachi Municipal Corporation and served in that position for six years. He was soon elected the President of the Corporation. He served in that capacity for 12 years from April 1922 to October 1933. Then he was elected to become the first Mayor of Karachi from 1933 to 1934 in British India. He transformed the city into a great and important metropolis during his 19 years period of an active role as a local politician (1918 – 1934) from a fishing village to a well-planned city. He was a member of the Sindh Legislative Assembly, the father of Scouting in Sindh, and one of the founder members of the Boy Scout Movement in India, and later on in Pakistan. He was the Deputy Chief Commissioner of the GHQ and its Honorary Treasurer. Pakistan's Sea Scout landing craft is named after him. Jamshed Quarters was developed by Jamshed Nusserwanjee Mehta in 1922

Sister Gertrude (Truus) Lemmens (14 July 1914 – 30 October 2000) Sister Gertrude Lemmens was a Dutch nun and founder of Dar-ul-Sukun (Home of Peace), a home for the mentally handicapped, orphans, and the aged in Karachi, Pakistan. She received an award from the President of Pakistan in 1989 for her work. In 1969 Archbishop Joseph Cordeiro, then the head of the Archdiocese of Karachi, bought a single-story property on Kashmir Road to start an English-medium school. Sister Gertrude begged and pleaded with him to convince him instead to let her utilize the property as a home for the mentally handicapped. He agreed, and Dar-ul-Sukun was created. Sister Gertrude accepted anyone and everyone, so that, far from being simply a home for the mentally handicapped, Dar-ul-Sukun became a beacon of hope for all in need. Orphans, the old and destitute, the physically handicapped, and disfigured babies all came to the home or were left on its doorstep.

At the age of 10, Iqbal escaped his slavery, after learning that bonded labor had been declared illegal by the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He escaped and attempted to report his employer Ashad to the police, but the police brought him back to the factory seeking a finder's fee for returning escaped bonded laborers. Iqbal escaped a second time and attended the Bonded Labour Liberation Front (BLLF) school for former child slaves and quickly completed a four-year education in only two years. Iqbal helped over 3,000 Pakistani children that were in bonded labour escape to freedom and made speeches about child labour all over the world.

By the early 1960s, Mai Bhagi was regularly appearing on Radio Pakistan singing songs in Thari and Sindhi languages, but she remained rooted in her small and impoverished village in Tharparkar. It is believed that though she had been singing ‘Kharee neem kay neechey’ ever since she was a teenager, she first sang the song on Radio Pakistan in the early 1960s. Mai Bhagi died on July 7, 1986 at the age of 66 years.

Jagdish Chand Anand(1922 – 1977) JC ANAND was a Pakistani film producer and distributor. One of the largest distributors within the country, he founded Eveready Pictures in Karachi Anand was born in 1922 in Bhera, Sargodha District, British India. His father was a businessman. His family opted to stay back in Pakistan at the time of Partition in 1947. Soon after independence in 1947, Anand founded Eveready Pictures to produce and distribute films. Pakistan's pioneer film producer Agha G. A. Gul was his colleague and a friend. Film producer J. C. Anand played a key role in inviting Indian film maker Roop K. Shorey and his then popular actress wife Meena Shorey to Pakistan to make Miss 56 (1956 film).
Jagdish Chand Anand(1922 – 1977) JC ANAND was a Pakistani film producer and distributor. One of the largest distributors within the country, he founded Eveready Pictures in Karachi Anand was born in 1922 in Bhera, Sargodha District, British India. His father was a businessman. His family opted to stay back in Pakistan at the time of Partition in 1947. Soon after independence in 1947, Anand founded Eveready Pictures to produce and distribute films. Pakistan's pioneer film producer Agha G. A. Gul was his colleague and a friend. Film producer J. C. Anand played a key role in inviting Indian film maker Roop K. Shorey and his then popular actress wife Meena Shorey to Pakistan to make Miss 56 (1956 film).

He started studying art in the Fine Arts Department of Punjab University, Lahore in 1956. In 1961, he graduated with a master's degree in Fine Arts. The Avari Group is the first Pakistani company to have obtained international hotel management contracts. Byram Avari is also the diplomatic representative for Canada. Avari has also been Chairman of the Karachi Parsi Anjuman. He has received the Pride of Performance Award for Sports(Sailing) in 1982 by the President of Pakistan.
