Raksha Bandhan is a Hindu festival that celebrates the relationship between brothers and sisters, and families, on the full moon of the Hindu month of Shravana (Shravan Poornima). On this occasion, the sisters tie an amulet or a wrist band commonly known as a Rakhi around the wrist of their brothers to symbolically protect them from evil and receives a gift in return.
