Pakistan Hindu Council urged Registration of non-Muslim Religious Holy Places for Security Plan

Karachi / Islamabad (Jan 29, 2015): Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani MNA has strongly appealed to administrators of non-Muslim holy places across the country to get registered with their respected government offices (Deputy Commissioner) so that security plan for the protection of holy places could be prepared. He was addressing the meeting of executive commitee of Pakistan Hindu Council, here on Thursday, which was attended by President Chela Ram Kewlani, Secretary General Dr. Deepak, Bharat Kumar and others.

Dr. Ramesh Vankwani, while taking the members in to confidence regarding ongoing meetings with provincial administrations, said that in the context of recent Supreme Court orders an important meeting with Chief Minister Balochistan was scheduled this week on Friday while meeting with Punjab Government officials would be held next week. In addition, the participants were also briefed regarding the recent visit to Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj ‘s Samadhi, located in Theri, district Kark. Dr. Ramesh Vankwani was accompanied by Moulana Atta ur Rehman, Commissinor, DCO and other government high-ups. In response of application to hand over the Samadhi, forty local Ulmae Karaam (Muslim leaders) agreed to formally respond on it by 15th of next month, Dr. Ramesh said.

The participants concerned that unless and until all the minorities religious places including Mandir, Dharam Shala, Samadhi, Guo Shala, Churges, Shamshan Ghaat would not get enrolled in government offices, it would be harder and harder to provide security.

On the occasion, Dr. Ramesh Vankwani also proposed to establish 24/7 Hindu Help Line so that in case of any future attack against the Hindu community or place, prompt support could be provided to the victim. The participants were also briefed regarding the experimental launch of ‘SMS Alerts Service’ by Pakistan Hindu Council.
