Expressing his views while talking to a local delegation from Thar, Dr. Ramesh said that it is a matter for concern that once peaceful area of Thar is now considered as worst place for the minorities. In this regard, he specifically mentioned the recent attack on Krishna temple in Mithi. “Recent attack on Sant Nenuram Aashram, on this Saturday, once again proved the criminal negligence of the authorities,” he said, adding that shops of two Hindu businessmen from Mithi and two from Islamkot were also looted in recent days. He termed such incidents as a part of campaign to harass the patriot Hindu business community, with the support of corrupt Police and provincial government. “60% population of Thar belongs to minorities which is now left to the mercy of hate mongers,” he said. Dr. Ramesh Vankwani was also shocked to learn that an honest competent Police Officer named Tariq Memon was not allowed to take charge as SHO due to his “beard” and affiliation with “Tableeghi”. He condemned such behavior by the upper authorities, in strongest words. Talking about the attack on himself on November 19, Dr. Ramesh told that instead of providing security and arresting the culprits, Police had shamelessly registered two fake “FIRs” against his supporters. “The Investigation Report in the supervision of A.D. Khawaja, had declared the FIRs baseless last day and recommended the court to take action against all five culprits, nominated by myself,” Dr. Ramesh told. Nominated culprits included Manoj Malani, Sushil Malani, Hareej, Aneel, and Kuldeep, all belongs to PPP, as Manoj Malani is the candidate of chairman for the Municipal Corporation, Sushil is the General Secretary of PPP Mirpur Khas Division, and both are nephews of PPP MBA Mahesh Malani. Dr. Ramesh Vankwani has assured the delegated to continue his struggle to protect minorities’ rights, and state security for Hindu temples and holy places.
