25th December, Quaid-e-Azam Day

59

25th December, the birth date of one of the greatest leaders of the world. This day is known as the Quaid-e-Azam Day as he was born on 25th December 1876 at Wazir Mansion Karachi. He is the founder of Pakistan who wanted the separate country for Muslims but he also wanted to make a circular Pakistan where people of different religions and communities can live peacefully with equal rights. In his first speech, he mentioned that we are all Pakistanis and in this country, people of all religions will get equal rights and equal value. He also mentioned that in the flag of Pakistan there are two colors green and white. Green shows the majority of Muslims but white shows the minority persons who are also the part of this country. Without white, our flag is incomplete so as without minority our country is incomplete. Quaid-e-Azam had a very clear and positive approach towards the Non-Muslim citizens of the newly made country as he and his team want to give equal rights and opportunities to all the communities living in Muslim Majority population so that everyone could work hard to engrave the name of Pakistan as a great nation on the World Map.

Today, I would like to pay tribute to one of the great leaders of the world as he has achieved the goal of giving independence to our nation from British. Being the president of Pakistan Hindu Council, I would also like to appeal the current government to follow the path of Quaid-e-Azam and his vision so that we have unity and can engrave the name of Pakistan as one united nation. I hope this government will try to give equal rights and values to the non-Muslim citizens of Pakistan as we are all brothers and are living under one country.

Thank You

Gopal Khamuani
